VR & 3D scans

Walkable 3D tours of houses and apartments – in the browser or in VR with Meta Quest 3, based on Matterport or LiDAR scans.

Explore a property as if you were there: a 3D scan captures rooms true to scale, including furnishings and light. Visitors move freely through the house or apartment – in the browser, on a smartphone or with a VR headset.

What you get

  • 3D scan — with a Matterport camera or LiDAR (e.g. iPhone/iPad Pro), true to scale with floor plan and measurements.
  • Walkable tour — click from room to room, dollhouse view of the whole building, info points on fittings and equipment.
  • Virtual reality — on Meta Quest 3 or directly in the browser via WebXR, without installing an app.
  • Embedding — the tour or a video walkthrough can be embedded on your website or a property portal.

Typical uses

  • Selling and letting houses and apartments (fewer, better-prepared viewings)
  • Documenting a building before and after a renovation
  • Planning conversions and furnishings with real dimensions

On this page an example tour or video can be shown as soon as a project is released for publication.

How a tour is made

  1. 1 · ScanOn site with a LiDAR device or 360° camera, in 1–3 hours depending on size.
  2. 2 · ProcessPoint cloud and panoramas are computed into a true-to-scale 3D model with floor plan.
  3. 3 · Walk through in browser/VRVia a link in the browser, on a smartphone or with Meta Quest 3 – no app needed.

Meta Quest 3: VR without cables

The Meta Quest 3 is a standalone VR headset: it works without a PC, but can be connected to a computer via PC Link for particularly demanding scenes. Colour passthrough cameras can show the real surroundings (mixed reality).

  • VR training: practise procedures and hazardous situations safely.
  • Walkthroughs: explore houses, apartments and halls at 1:1 scale.
  • WebXR demos: start directly in the headset browser – a link is enough.

LiDAR: the room as a point cloud

A LiDAR sensor emits laser pulses and measures how long the light takes to reach the wall and return. Millions of such measurements form a point cloud, which becomes a 3D model with real dimensions.

DeviceRangeAccuracy
iPhone / iPad Pro (LiDAR)≈ 5 mcentimetre range
Leica BLK360≈ 45–60 mmillimetre range

Guide values; achievable accuracy depends on surfaces, lighting and scan path.

360° camera: panoramas linked into a tour

For larger properties a 360° panorama is captured at many points of the floor plan. The software links the capture points so that you move from panorama to panorama through the building.

  • Capture points roughly every 1.5–2.5 m, in every room and at doorways.
  • Automatic floor plan and dollhouse view (e.g. Matterport).
  • Info points, measurements and videos can be added to the tour.
